Here is a rough collage of wings crafting pics from when I made omega—kitten’s God Tier Aradia wings back in June.

I tried to ask Hussie about doing commissions on them and, after 3 emails, he hasn’t replied soooo…??

My god, Aradia’s wings were so much more difficult than Vriska’s since they have a fuck-stupid design; I lost track how many revisions I made to the bottom segments on her damn wings, jesusfuck (the changes are slightly visible in the photos but I’m a perfectionist when I srs-mode things).

The top three images are reference I created/compiled: leftmost shot is a pic of my screen while crafting, the middle is a quick photoshop I did so I could have a full back reference image and the right is an overlay I did so I could have a direct comparison of the two sets of wings.
The next row is all about the shaping process: I spent a stupid amount of time working off my Vriska wings get a proportional Aradia version and the other image is the finished wire frames (leaning against the wall so they are slightly skewed in the image, keep in mind).
Next, I’ve a shot of one wing complete with a pic of it side-by-side to Vriska so I could show the progress off to my friends. The other picture in that row is of the final steps crafting the second Aradia wing.
And, finally, some finished pics!

I’m not sure if I’ll ever post a full tl;dr about construction but these pics are pretty enlightening. If I do opt for commission, how much do you guess think I should charge?
(They take HOURS to craft, especially at this level of consistent quality)

Materials!
-Cellophane
-wire (I can never remember the gauge and end up fondling all the different ones)
-adhesive
-heat (very low settings!!)
-TIME (I can not emphasize this enough; I am meticulous, that is why this process turned out. If you aren’t up for spending hours reshaping/repatterning and pretty much scrutinizing every part of these things I do not recommend the cellophane method: it can turn out really fucking fabulous or seriously shitty)
